Russell Lasson Colorist / Digital Cinema Specialist Russell first became involved in the film industry as a student at Brigham Young University and has been involved in the Utah film industry for the past ten years. After graduating with a degree in Media Arts, Russell joined Kaleidoscope Pictures, a Provo based production company. After five years serving as editor and colorist, Russell joined Color Mill serving dual roles as colorist and digital cinema mastering specialist, providing his expertise and talent for multiple feature film projects over the past several months. Russell is also deeply involved with Creative Cow as a forum leader for RED Camera, Final Cut Pro, and Windows on a Mac. Always at the forefront of new technology, Russell is highly recognized and well respected in the Creative Cow community and recently contributed to an article on digital cinema technology for the organizations magazine. |
David Cummins Director of Operations David is a twenty-year veteran of the Los Angeles postproduction industry. He started his career as a musician playing and producing rock and blues concerts in Southwest Florida. He then moved to Los Angeles and broke into the business designing and building video facilities for A&M Records, MCA Records and various media organizations.. David used his skills as a musician to become the in-house music video editor and producer for MCA Records and worked with other labels as a creative artist. He later founded West Post Digital, a high definition boutique in Santa Monica, CA. As President of the company, he built one of the first high definition centric facilities in LA built around a da Vinci 2K color grading system. He then went on to consult film and television producers on cost effective, digital production, mastering and delivery workflows. David is also the founder of IndieRanch.com, an online resource for digital filmmakers, with a focus on digital cinema postproduction. He is now based in Salt Lake City heading up operations and business development for Color Mill. |
